AusBIM were engaged as the BIM manager for the Sydney Light Rail project design joint venture.

We aided the design joint venture by managing over 200 models and preparing the information extraction from one Federated model.

For this project Autodesk Navisworks was utilised for the federated model. Combining models from Autodesk Revit, 12d (as IFC format), Vectorworks (as IFC format) into a single model over 20km long!

Pyrmont Bridge Asset Model
Pyrmont Bridge Asset Model

AusBIM aided modelling this heritage bridge for Sydney Harbour Foreshore Authority (SHFA) from existing drawings and scans for downstream use in the clients chosen asset management tool, in this case Zuuse.

The model for this beautiful structure was scoped at LOD500 and as such became a highly detailed model that was specified to be output into the IFC file format for potential use in any downstream BIM capable application.

The modelling requirements for the data were clearly defined so that the output of the model was suitable for the inspection of the bridge members. In this case Autodesks Revit was chosen as the authoring tool for the bridge. In order to meet the brief the data was then remapped into the required IFC property sets (psets) as part of the export process and checked in Solibri Model Checker for compliance.
